As a Preschool Instructor, you’ll be part of a collaborative team creating a safe, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate environment where children can learn, explore, and grow. You won’t just “watch kids” — you’ll actively shape their preschool experience through play, creativity, and connection. Summary of Responsibilities Supervise and actively engage with preschool-aged children in both indoor and outdoor settings Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities such as art, music, storytelling, science, and play-based learning Prepare, organize, and clean activity materials and program spaces Support overall preschool program planning and preparation Create a warm, caring environment where children and families feel safe, welcome, and supported Monitor equipment and facilities for safety concerns and report issues promptly Follow all Champaign Park District safety policies and procedures Attend required meetings and training sessions Work collaboratively with the preschool team and Preschool Supervisor Uphold equal opportunity and harassment laws, policies, and procedures Perform other related duties as assigned Why Work With Us?
