In-Home Caregiver | Part-Time & Full-Time
Location: Excelsior, MN
Available Shifts: 12-hour day and overnight shifts
Shift Times: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM and 8:00 PM–8:00 AM
Pay: $22–$25/hour
English Rose Home Care provides personalized, one-on-one care in clients' private residences for people living with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other complex medical conditions. Our Home Care team is led by a Registered Nurse (RN), who provides clinical oversight and support to our caregivers.
We are currently hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide one-on-one care for a male client living with dementia in the Excelsior area. The client receives care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with 12-hour day and overnight shifts available. Both part-time and full-time opportunities are available based on scheduling needs and caregiver availability.
We're looking for caregivers who are comfortable working independently and providing thoughtful, individualized care.
Additional hours and opportunities may also be available with other English Rose Home Care clients throughout the Twin Cities, depending on your availability, location, and client needs.
What You'll Do
Depending on the client's individualized care plan, your shift may include:
Providing companionship, conversation, and meaningful engagement
Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Helping with mobility and transfers
Preparing meals and assisting with eating
Providing medication reminders
Light housekeeping and laundry
Providing transportation or assistance with errands
Following individualized care plans and documenting care accurately
Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia preferred
Previous one-on-one caregiving or home care experience preferred
Comfortable working independently and following detailed care instructions
Strong communication and engagement skills
Comfortable providing personal care to both female and male clients
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Fluent in English with strong written documentation skills
Training and Support
Caregivers receive paid, in-person training with our experienced team at our English Rose Training Center in Hopkins, MN, along with hands-on, client-specific training in the client's home. Applicants must be willing and able to reliably travel to both the Excelsior area and Hopkins, MN.
Our RN-led Home Care team provides ongoing clinical oversight and support so caregivers have the information and guidance they need to provide confident, high-quality care.
