SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Management Specialist to provide comprehensive fiscal planning, budget management, and financial oversight support to our office leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with government funding processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure optimal financial resource management. You will provide programmatic and technical support to an IC customer responsible for the maturation of SIGINT technologies, which span the spectrum from applied research to demonstrated capabilities suitable for transition into system program baselines and advanced future systems. These efforts will influence the next generation of SIGINT space systems.

Job Description:

  • Support office leadership with strategic fiscal planning and financial decision-making processes
  • Maintain detailed tracking of office funding obligations and expenditures by program and fiscal year
  • Develop and implement financial management tools to improve budget visibility and forecasting
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for resource optimization
  • Work collaboratively with Contracting Officer Technical Representatives (COTRs), Contracting Officers, and Budget Office to track and facilitate movements of fiscal funds
  • Monitor budget execution against plans and provide regular status updates to leadership
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies and resolve funding issues in a timely manner
  • Support the preparation of comprehensive financial reports and analyses as required
  • Organize and facilitate monthly office budget planning and decision meetings
  • Ensure funding requests are properly documented, justified, and aligned with organizational priorities
  • Coordinate with program managers to gather necessary information for funding proposals
  • Track the status of funding requests and communicate outcomes to appropriate parties


Required Education:

  • Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a government or defense-related environment
  • Demonstrated experience with Government budget formulation, execution, and financial analysis
  • Proficiency with financial management systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with IC acquisition process
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with resource allocation in technical or research-oriented organizations
  • Experience facilitating meetings and tracking action items to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and energetic environment

Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
