EEG Technician I (Pay Grade 21) Â
Entry-Level / Student and Training RoleÂ
Performs core EEG diagnostic procedures for pediatric and adult patient populationsÂ
Observes and assists with advanced procedures to develop foundational clinical skillsÂ
Actively participates in training to build competency and knowledgeÂ
Develops skill level to enhance quality and safety of patient careÂ
EEG Technician II (Pay Grade 25)Â
Board Eligible (ABRET)Â
Performs core EEG diagnostic procedures for pediatric and adult patient populationsÂ
Performs advanced diagnostic procedures including SPECT and WADA testingÂ
Participates in EMU and Critical Care long-term monitoring (LTM)Â
Continues professional development to enhance technical proficiency and clinical decision-makingÂ
Contributes to quality patient care through skill refinement and clinical awarenessÂ
EEG Technologist III (Registered EEG Technologist) (Pay Grade 26)Â
Credentialed through ABRETÂ
Reports to the EEG CoordinatorÂ
Works under general supervision with leadership or physician support available as neededÂ
Performs advanced diagnostic testing, including complex EEG monitoringÂ
Provides mentorship and clinical guidance to junior techsÂ
Ensures adherence to safety and procedural protocols at a high level of autonomyÂ

Minimum RequirementsÂ
EEG Technician IÂ
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or active student in a CAAHEP-accredited EEG programÂ
Board eligible for EEG Registry (ABRET) within 2 years of employmentÂ
BLS certification required within 2 weeks of hire and must be maintainedÂ
EEG Technician IIÂ
Eligible for national board certification (ABRET)Â
Must obtain EEG or CNIM certification within 2 years of employment or 1 year of board eligibilityÂ
Current BLS certification requiredÂ
EEG Technician IIIÂ
Registered EEG Technologist (ABRET certification required and maintained)Â
Current BLS certification requiredÂ
