Job Summary

IAAM is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, this hands-on role performs HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and general building repairs, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and grounds work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and replace HVAC components as needed.
  • Complete basic electrical repairs, including light fixtures and receptacles.
  • Assist with plumbing, carpentry, painting, grounds, and general facility repairs.
  • Operate hand and power tools and HVAC diagnostic equipment.
  • Maintain maintenance supplies and replacement-parts inventory.
  • Follow safety standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with emergency response and crowd management as needed.
  • Provide professional service to staff, contractors, and visitors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • HVAC vocational training or apprenticeship.
  • 2+ years of HVAC/facilities maintenance experience preferred
  • Valid Drivers license preferred
  • Strong HVAC knowledge and mechanical/troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and read technical manuals.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Electrical/trades certifications or licenses are a plus.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, crawl, and perform physical maintenance work.
  • Ability to work in extreme hot and cold conditions.

Duties and responsibilities may change based on organizational needs.



8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Schedule is created a month prior; flexibility with working some weekends and holidays.
