Job Title: Intern – DeveloperÂ
Status: Non-Exempt Hours/week: 15-20Â
Reports to: Lead DeveloperÂ
General Summary of PositionÂ
Developer intern will join our development team and will be working with our developers to design and develop high-quality internal applications. The developer's responsibilities include researching UI and UX trends, updating current applications, and working with colleagues to brainstorm innovative ideas for new applications.Â
The duration of the Spring Internship Program is 8 weeks in length. Hurley & Associates is supportive of receiving credit hours for the internship. Interns are paid a competitive weekly salary.
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Implement testing procedures to identify bugsÂ
- Engage with users to better understand needs and opportunities for improvementsÂ
- Develop sections of current web applications
- Uphold and exemplify Hurley’s mission and vision statementsÂ
- Represent Hurley & Associates with integrity and professionalismÂ
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesÂ
- Familiarity with code versioning tools, like GITÂ
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio Code / Visual Studio ProfessionalÂ
- Familiarity of Object-Oriented Programming Language C# preferred
- Familiarity of SQLÂ
- Familiarity with Azure or other Cloud technologiesÂ
- Good problem solving and analytical skillsÂ
- Ability to work on multiple tasksÂ
- Good interpersonal skillsÂ
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Completed 3 semesters of a Bachelor’s Degree in related field
