You'll assemble structural threaded products that end up in bridges, skyscrapers, and stadiums — work where accuracy matters and quality is non-negotiable.You'll work with drill presses, grinders, threaders, and iron workers, read drawings and work instructions, and own the quality of every piece you build. No prior Portland Bolt experience needed. If you're dependable, hard-working, and want to learn a skilled trade with a company that invests in training and coaching, we want to talk to you.ESSENTIAL DUTIES Fabricate and assemble structural threaded products to specification Study and interpret blueprints, sketches, and assembly instructions Take and interpret accurate measurements; inspect finished work against specifications before it moves on Operate fabrication equipment including drill presses, grinders, iron workers, and Landis threaders Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move material safely Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe Communicate quality, equipment, or material concerns to your supervisor right awayPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and unassisted Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environmentWHY PORTLAND BOLTPortland Bolt offers a competitive total compensation package including: Medical, dental, and vision plans 401(k) with company matching Paid time off and paid holidays Free, onsite parking Uniform and PPE provided On-the-job training and coaching Company-paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Company-paid Life and AD&D insurance Company-paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of metal fabrication or welding experience preferred — or the ability to demonstrate proficiency; we will train the right candidate Ability to read blueprints and follow written and verbal directions Basic math skills and comfort working with measurements Bilingual English/Spanish a plus — helps with communication across our shop team and with the office Forklift experience preferred; we will certify the right candidate Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and a team-first attitude Employment is contingent upon completion of Form I-9 and E-Verify employment eligibility verification, as required by federal and North Carolina law
