Job Summary:

The HSE site coordinator is a key member of our operations team, who will be responsible for health, safety, and environmental in our workplace. They will aid and support the cultivation, implementation, enforcement of safety programs and standardize them to remain consistent, as well as share best practice techniques at regular safety meetings. The location that they will be responsible for is a fabrication facility.

The ideal candidate will maintain compliance with all safety regulations and ensure that every member of staff complies with the regulated standards. They will also have outstanding organizational skills and great attention to detail.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support our “Goal Zero” Safety Culture.
  • Perform safety related monitoring and reporting. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and permits, including Stormwater and VOC monitoring.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings to share best practice techniques.
  • Conduct risk assessments and perform site inspections.
  • Lead Incident investigations and reporting.
  • Initiate and organize safety training of employees and executives.
  • Supports all employees in safety related concerns.
  • Implement and review existing policies and update according to legislation.
  • Practice safe working techniques and support teamwork.
  • Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees.
  • Lead by example, be the “voice of safety”. 
  • Conduct audits and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, develop solutions, and implement change.
  • Lead the process to identify and support the need for capital investment to improve HSE performance and risk

Competencies:

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
  • Experience implementing a dashboard system for reporting is preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Knowledge/Experience implanting a behavior-based and risk identification culture is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills

Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in HSE General Industry
  • Experience in OSHA CFR 1910 is preferred.
