Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Mechanical Engineering graduates to join our Charlotte, North Carolina (NC), office's Natural Gas team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
  • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
  • Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required
  • Our Mechanical teams work on a wide variety of projects, including: 
    • Transmission & Distribution Pipeline Design
    • Metering and Regulation Stations
    • Remote Valve Sites
    • Regulatory Compliance
    • Natural Gas Generation & power plant design
    • Process Control Design and Integration

Qualifications

  • An ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027.
