Summary:  ATS is seeking an Engineering Consultant to support our Mechanical Integrity Department at ATS Charlotte, NC office located near Ballantyne/Charlotte, NC. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with the potential for overtime.  This position is ideal for recent graduates with Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or closely related field of study and ATS will fast track you to obtain API certifications. Responsibilities: Perform field inspections of industrial equipment under the supervision of qualified API Inspection personnel (storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems). Generate calculations in accordance with API, ASME, STI, etc. Generate written reports utilizing MS Word and MS Excel. Develop AutoCAD drawings or isometrics. Assist in Managing projects ranging from $5,000 - $100,000. Assist in Managing client relationships. QualificationsRequirements: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or closely related field required. Experience in Mechanical Integrity preferred but not required. Must be willing to travel ±30% out of office, typically not more than one maybe 2 weeks at a time. API Certifications are to be obtained through OJT after hire and pre-test support from ATS in one or more of the following specialties: API-510, API-570, API-653, CWI. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred. Experience with Finite Element Analysis preferred. Desire to obtain Engineer in Training (EIT) and /or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred. “U.S. Persons” Only: A requirement of this position is access to information that is subject to U.S. export controls under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”). Work Conditions:Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
