Job DetailsJob Location: Charlotte - Charlotte, NC 28273Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $23.00 - $27.00 HourlyJob Shift: 1st ShiftJob Category: QA - Quality ControlSUMMARY Inspects and verifies products at various stages of production process, and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Performs other related duties as assigned. Interprets engineering drawings and schematic diagrams, and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards. Selects products for inspection/verification at specified stages in production process; and inspects/verifies products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics. Records inspection/verification data applying statistical quality control procedures. Generates APQP and PPAP documentation. Reviews and understands customer requirements including PO’s, drawings, and specifications. Compares requirements with Sur-Seal quotes, capabilities and processes to identify discrepancies. Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Calibrates and maintains measuring and inspection equipment per established procedures. Reviews and maintains raw material certifications. Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.             QualificationsQUALITY STANDARDS Ability to define and distinguish between quality standards, requirements, and specifications with the goal of meeting the customer’s specified requirements. Ability to read and interpret drawings and ensure requirements are appropriately applied to the method of manufacturing including inspection activities. Have a basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance such as symbols, location, and profile. Ability to determine what measurement instruments are required for various inspection point functions such as receiving, in-process, final, source, first article, etc.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 5 – 10 years related experience   REASONING ABILITY and MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to define and solve problems by utilizing various Root Cause Analysis tools (8D, fishbone, 5 Whys).
