The Impact You'll Make: Project Management Business Development and Marketing Marketing and business development, including meeting with clients, developing design concepts, providing content for proposals, and preparing presentations. Responsible for client development and fostering relationships with existing and new clients. Lead and/or assist in preparation of scope of services and fee proposal. Attend transportation focused industry forums and conferences to promote Lochner and our transportation practice. Staff Management Establish, manage, and grow a Roadway group based in Charlotte to be responsive to transportation clients.  Manage utilization of staff in performing tasks efficiently and providing high-quality service. Responsible for the hiring, supervision, development, and evaluation of engineering support staff. The Expertise You'll Bring: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. 8-12 years of experience of which 3+ should have been spent managing projects. Experience managing City of Charlotte and/or municipal projects is preferred. Professional Engineer license in North Carolina Must have business development and marketing experience in North Carolina. Excellent writing and speaking skills are essential as the selected candidate will be responsible for preparing study and design reports; interacting with internal project teams, state agencies, municipal review boards and clients; as well as assisting the firm in the preparation of proposals. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated and can work independently, but also enjoy working in a team environment.
