Portside Liquors is a family-owned and operated retail business with multiple locations throughout Cape Cod, the Islands, and the South Shore. We are looking for dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Retail Sales Associates to join our growing team. at our Chatham location.

We are seeking individuals who enjoy working with people, take pride in their work, and can handle a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a hands-on position for someone who is organized, energetic, responsible, and willing to jump in wherever needed.

What You'll Be Doing:

Provide outstanding customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
Greet customers, assist with product selections, and answer questions about wine, beer, and spirits.
Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system, process transactions, and handle cash and credit card payments accurately.
Stock shelves, replenish merchandise, and maintain organized product displays.
Receive deliveries, unload merchandise, check invoices, and put inventory away.
Assist with inventory management, product rotation, and maintaining proper shelf presentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store.
Help customers locate products and assist with carrying purchases when needed.
Monitor store merchandise and follow proper loss prevention and security procedures.
Work collaboratively with team members while also being able to work independently.
Follow all company policies and Massachusetts alcohol sales and identification requirements.

Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems or cash registers.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stock shelves throughout a shift.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Experience & Qualifications:

Previous retail, customer service, cashier, or sales experience preferred.
Experience in grocery, convenience stores, liquor stores, or other retail environments is a plus.
Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits is beneficial, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Experience with POS systems, inventory, merchandising, and stocking is a plus.
