Make a Difference Every Day

We are looking for compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).

As a DSP, you will provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live safely, independently, and meaningfully in their homes and communities. This is a hands-on role where you will build relationships, encourage independence, and support each individual in achieving their personal goals.

If you are patient, reliable, positive, and looking for work that truly makes a difference, we would love to hear from you.

What to Expect

Every individual we support has different abilities, needs, and goals. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Provide direct, person-centered support in residential and community settings.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal-care needs as required.
  • Encourage individuals to develop and maintain independence rather than simply completing tasks for them.
  • Assist with meal planning and preparation, laundry, housekeeping, and maintaining a clean and safe home environment.
  • Support individuals in working toward personal goals and developing daily living and social skills.
  • Participate in community activities, recreational opportunities, shopping, appointments, work, and other outings.
  • Provide transportation as assigned and appropriate for the position.
  • Support medication administration and medication-related procedures after successfully completing required training and authorization.
  • Follow individualized service plans, behavior support plans, health and safety protocols, and other individual-specific instructions.
  • Observe and report changes in an individual's health, behavior, mood, or overall well-being.
  • Provide calm, professional support during behavioral, medical, or other unexpected situations.
  • Complete shift notes, service documentation, medication records, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Communicate professionally with individuals, guardians, families, coworkers, supervisors, nurses, and other members of the support team.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and protect each individual's dignity, privacy, rights, and confidentiality.
  • Attend required training, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
  • Follow all company policies, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

Qualifications

We're looking for individuals who are dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality support.

Successful candidates should:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED, if required for the position.
  • Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation when driving is an assigned responsibility.
  • Successfully complete all required background checks and pre-employment requirements.
  • Be dependable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be patient, respectful, and able to remain professional in challenging situations.
  • Be comfortable providing hands-on assistance with personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Be able to follow individualized plans, established procedures, and supervisor direction.
  • Be able to complete required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
  • Be willing and able to complete all required training and maintain required certifications.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. We value candidates with the right attitude, reliability, compassion, and willingness to learn.

Physical & Work Expectations

DSP work is active and hands-on. Depending on the individuals you support and your assigned location, you may be expected to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and remain active throughout your shift.
  • Provide physical assistance with mobility, positioning, transfers, or other daily activities when required.
  • Assist individuals with varying levels of physical, developmental, behavioral, and communication support needs.
  • Work independently during portions of your shift while remaining responsible for the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals you support.
  • Respond appropriately to unexpected situations and seek additional assistance when necessary.

Reasonable accommodations may be provided to qualified individuals in accordance with applicable law.

Schedule

Our programs operate based on the needs of the individuals we support. Available positions may include:

  • Day shifts
  • Evening shifts
  • Overnight shifts
  • Weekends
  • Holidays
  • Full-time and/or part-time schedules

Specific schedules and availability requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.
