Job Summary:
Responsible for the Vascular Lab which includes accountability for the quality of patient care, the performance of the staff and the orientation, education and mentoring the development of the staff. Maintain Vascular Lab's National Accreditation. Extensive knowledge of the vascular exams performed: Carotid Imaging, Upper and Lower Arterial and Venous dopplers, Transcranial doppler, and other forms of imaging modalities.

Education:
Required:
AS degree in Applied Science

Preferred:
BS in Applied Science

Experience:
Required: 5 years experience in Vascular Ultrasound. Clinically proficient in all phases of the Vascular Lab operations.

Preferred: Previous experience in directing a vascular lab and experience in ICAVL accreditation

Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration
Required: Must have current RVT
BLS prior to going to the unit/ department and maintained going forward

Department Position Summary:
Responsible for the Vascular Lab which includes accountability for the quality of patient care, the performance of the staff, and the orientation, education, and development of the staff. Further contributes to patient care and the Medical Center through support of philosophy and objectives and education efforts. The coordinator of the Vascular Lab will maintain Vascular Lab's National Accreditation. The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served in his or her department. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and posses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information need to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the Vascular lab Department's policies and procedures.
