Primary Responsibilities:Â
Â
Shipping DutiesÂ
Confirm shipments and Maintain records for auditing at the Chattanooga facility.Â
Enter on excel total sheet for balancingÂ
If duplicate shipment research and provide information to the managerÂ
Recall shipments back from carriers or pulled before leaving the dockÂ
Ability to identify short shipments and raise awareness to managerÂ
Look in TMS for freight charges on freight shipmentsÂ
Communicate dollars shipped daily to managerÂ
Dispute resolution - Communicate with customer service by providing tracking and documentation on shipmentsÂ
Create bill of ladings, ensuring accuracy so shipments are invoiced every dayÂ
Print Shippers and file accordinglyÂ
Generate Miscellaneous shipping Memos and documentationÂ
File Debit MemosÂ
Investigate customer disputes for the Accounting and Credit departmentÂ
Gather dispute information by providing copies of shipment and signed POD is to determine whether a claim is accepted or deniedÂ
Research discrepancies of shipments for Canada and West Coast WarehouseÂ
Invoice shippers dailyÂ
Update accounting spreadsheet daily and compare with Hash ReportÂ
Assist with receiving outside OP's that have arrived on the dock each dayÂ
Assist with E-mailing purchasing with any problemsÂ
Assist with correcting all e-mail issues on receivingÂ
Assist with Tungsten issuesÂ
Receive packing list into JD Edwards for OP'sÂ
Correct prior night receiving that had issuesÂ
Perform cycle counts as needed and directed by the SupervisorÂ
Â
Receiving DutiesÂ
Direct inbound shipments to receiving areaÂ
Perform physical count of parts received and verify product is free from damageÂ
Compare manifest/packing slip counts to actual count of parts receivedÂ
Notate and initial paperwork after deliveries have been confirmedÂ
Alert Purchasing department to all receiving issues and discrepanciesÂ
Record receipts into internal inventory system as requiredÂ
May Coordinate deliveries with appropriate departments to ensure receiving area stays clear to receive parts at all timesÂ
Assist in annual inventory countÂ
Keep and update daily receiving filesÂ
Coordinate with Quality for incoming RGA’s/RMA’sÂ
Collaborate with Purchasing to streamline efficiency and accuracy of incoming receiptsÂ

General DutiesÂ
Work safely in the manufacturing production environmentÂ
Follow detailed verbal/written assembly instructions, processes, and proceduresÂ
Properly fill out basic forms, reports, and label products correctlyÂ
Communicate and work effectively with othersÂ
Provide hands-on and verbal job function training to coworkers as neededÂ
Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production SupervisorÂ
Record daily all work performed and correct distribution of work timeÂ
Use software systems as needed to complete job dutiesÂ
Contribute to culture of high-quality productsÂ
Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functionsÂ
Perform other job-related duties as directed by supervisor per CBA and company policiesÂ
The Supervisor will instruct each employee in the responsibilities as listed in the proceduresÂ
The Supervisor will inform each employee where to access the procedure manualÂ

Required Education/Experience:Â
Must have high school diploma/GED or equivalent work experienceÂ
Work is scheduled Monday through Saturday. Shifts are 8 to 10 hours with mandatory overtime shifts. Overtime is paid on time and worked over 40 hours a week. The facility does have multiple shifts, employees MUST be flexible and may be required to change shifts.Â
