In addition to our school partnerships, we also provide comprehensive outpatient therapy services, creating opportunities for collaboration across settings and disciplines.
The Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated PT or PTA to join our school team part-time. This is a desirable school system outside of the metro Birmingham area. This is an ideal opportunity to join a practice with over 10 years of history delivering therapeutic services in the academic setting.

Responsibilities:
- Provide individual therapy services for clients
- Complete all required documentation for clients
- Collaborate with Child'sPlay colleagues and school team to discuss progress and recommendations for clients
- PT only - Perform diagnostic evaluations and document, analyze, and interpret results
- Collaborate with teachers, special education coordinators, and other services providers to help clients reach their goals
- Attend IEP meetings to advocate for the clients school based services
- Participate in our mentorship network as either mentee or mentor
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice physical therapy
- Pediatric physical therapy experience or other experience working with children in a clinical capacity

The first step in our interview process is a video or phone chat with a member of our recruiting team. We encourage you to use this as an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the Physical Therapist (PT) role and career opportunities. From there, we will invite candidates to an in-person interview. You will meet members of our schools team (your future co-workers!) and this interview may also include a brief observation of a therapy session. By the end of the interview process, you should have a sense of who we are and how our PTs are helping children take their next steps.
