Description

Supervisor: Terrain Park Supervisor 

Department: Terrain Park 

Type: Oct – end of Season / Seasonal

Position Overview: Construct and maintain terrain park features.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Safely construct and maintain terrain park features and open / close the park.
  • Set up and tear down of terrain park features for events on and off site.
  • Maintain the terrain park shack supplies, tools, and security and ensure free of garbage.
  • Set-up and tear-down of audio equipment.
  • Be self motivated to timely complete tasks.
  • Exercise judgment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform the job and get along with others to build a positive working environment.
  • Show up to work on time, consistent attendance, and dependable.
  • Physically perform the essential job functions of this position. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Environmental Factors:

  • Frequently exposed to cold temperatures and severe weather. 
  • Exposure to possible hazards associated with machinery and moving equipment. 
  • Walking, bending, rotating, standing, and skiing / snowboarding constantly.
  • Repetitive use of hands, arms, shoulders, back, and legs constantly.
  • Lifting and carrying to waist level of 60 lbs. frequently, carrying 30 lbs. often, and above shoulder lifting and / or carrying of up to 20 lbs. infrequently. 
  • Sight and hearing of acceptable standards for Essential Job Functions.
  • Frequently walking on uneven, steep, and slippery terrain with job site hazards.
  • The working environment may be stressful when meeting Supervisor and staff needs.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced ski or snowboard ability to test terrain features of safety and use.
  • Ability to operate, use, and control hand tools.
  • Advanced understanding of terrain park features, design, and use.
  • Ability and commitment to on-site four/five days a week throughout the Winter Season, with a schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays; exceptions such as a four-day split schedule with a designated Department Lead require Management approval.
  • Ability to relate in a positive manner to guests and co-workers.
  • Ability to shovel snow, work in uneven, steep, and icy conditions.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic people skills and ability to work as a team and get along with others.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, problem solve, and multitask.
  • Thorough understanding of company policies and practices.
  • Organized and attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation.

Education / Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma.
  • Experience in building and maintaining terrain park features.
  • Background check required.
