Job Description:

The dna team is seeking a strong Account Director to join our Healthcare Practice. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for managing client and inter-agency relationships, playing a critical role in elevating the long-term success of our Health practice.


You will serve as the day-to-day client liaison, responsible for partnering with senior team leads to supervise two biotech client accounts across several work streams. Other responsibilities include recommending programs and activities, planning and delivering against clients’ goals, effectively delegating projects, offering counsel to team members, and allocating agency resources to match client budgets.


In this role, you will be working on developing and overseeing annual plans, key messages/ corporate narratives reputation management, executive thought leadership, internal communications, and integrated media strategies to protect and drive corporate reputation and value proposition narratives for your clients. We're looking for someone with an equal passion for corporate communications and healthcare. Who understands product portfolios and pipelines as much as corporate communications.


A familiarity and comfort with data and regulatory milestones is key, as well as a passion for complementary unbranded disease education initiatives such as corporate social media strategy and patient video development. This individual must be an excellent people leader and client counselor, with a willingness and drive to roll up their sleeves and stay close to the work.


Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Day-to-day client support and counsel

· Developing and/or reviewing materials for client milestones and social media channels

· Working with several specialists including media, digital and creative

· Working with senior counselors on strategy

· Mentor, coach and support team members ensuring constant development of their skills

· Maintain financial responsibility for accounts

· Effectively manage team utilization and maintain financial responsibility for accounts

We are looking for someone who

· Understands broad healthcare landscape, trends and general issues facing the industry

· Is familiar with the nuances of working in the highly-regulated pharma/biotech landscape

· Has strong client management skills and is eager to foster a relationship with key client contacts

· Can turn ideas into workable plans

· Proactively proposes solutions to challenges

· Can mobilize and motivate teams

· Is comfortable managing junior support and partnering with senior leads

· Exceptional judgment when working with team members, client contacts and vendors

· Commitment and dedication to the agency's success as well as individual career

· Can anticipate client and team needs

· Attention to detail and quality

· Instills confidence with clients and colleagues


Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field

· At least 7 years’ PR/communications experience, preferably with healthcare experience

Salary range: $115,000 - $135,000

Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
