We are hiring a motivated Investor Relations Analyst to join our Partner Solutions Group (PSG) within our U.S. team, based in Chicago.

Hayfin is a global alternative asset manager with deep expertise in credit and a broad alternatives platform, partnering with institutional investors across the Americas, Europe, and APAC. Reporting to and supporting our PSG coverage professionals, you will own the operational and analytical work that underpins effective LP and consultant engagement - keeping the team exceptionally well-prepared, relationship data accurate and current, and market intelligence sharp. Coverage professionals lead all primary dialogue; your role is to make sure they operate at their best. It's a high-exposure seat: you will work hand in hand with senior coverage professionals, see the full institutional fundraising cycle up close, and build the foundation for a career in investor coverage.

What you'll do

  • Support coverage professionals across LP and consultant relationships: handling pre- and post-meeting logistics, follow-up tracking, and briefing notes covering relationship history, investment context, and recent activity.
  • Attend external meetings, capturing detailed notes and sharing action items promptly.
  • Own day-to-day CRM hygiene across the U.S. coverage team, keeping all LP and consultant interactions, pipeline status, and relationship notes accurate and current.
  • Maintain segmented prospect lists and research new institutional targets across public and corporate pensions, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, and family offices, using AI-powered tools to accelerate profiling.
  • Track LP allocation trends, the competitive fundraising landscape, and consultant scoring activity, synthesizing findings into concise updates for the team.
  • Support annual fundraising plans, conference preparation, and tailored investment presentations led by coverage.
  • 1-3 years in alternatives fundraising, investor relations, or a closely related function.
  • Exposure to U.S. institutional investors (pensions, endowments, foundations, insurance companies) and/or investment consultants.
  • Working knowledge of alternative investment strategies, with a focus on public and private credit.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems and prospect research tools, and strong attention to data accuracy.
  • Practical familiarity with AI tools, large language models and AI-assisted research platforms, and the judgment to apply them without sacrificing accuracy.
  • A strong written and verbal communicator who distills complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Exceptionally organized and proactive, comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced, team-first environment.
  • Professional presence, discretion, and sound judgment in client-facing situations.

We offer a competitive package for our U.S. team, including:

  • Base salary of $80,000-$100,000, commensurate with experience
  • Eligibility for an annual performance bonus paid each December (pro-rated in 2026 based on start date)
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage starting day one
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Employer-funded life insurance and fully paid mental health support
  • 25 days of paid time off (PTO) plus company holidays
