Compensation for this role is $22/hour The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.

As a Logistic Specialist, you'll manage daily operations for our dedicated LTL accounts, including coordinating and tracking shipments, handling freight classification and pricing for quotes, and building relationships with carriers and customer contacts. You'll ensure profitability by selecting optimal carriers and service levels, resolving shipment issues, while upholding our high level of service.
 

What your day-to-day will look like:

 

  • Execute daily operations for assigned accounts, understanding their growth strategies, goals, and contractual agreements.
  • Track all customer shipments, monitor assigned portion of the load board, and ensure all loads are covered and serviced properly.
  • Communicate effectively and punctually with both internal teams and external customers, using the appropriate channels.
  • Handle freight classification, provide accurate pricing for quote requests, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve any issues related to shipments, including delays, discrepancies, or damages, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop strong working relationships with customer contacts and facilities.
  • Foster internal relationships with carrier representatives, managers, and sales teams, and contribute as a team player.
  • Identify whether customers with heavy and/or consistent freight volume would be suited for possible customer-specific pricing.

 

At a minimum, you’ll need:

 

  • 1 year of logistics experience 

It’d be great if you also have:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • General knowledge of the transportation industry 
  • Experience writing routine reports and correspondence 
  • The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form
