Position SummaryĀ 

USĀ TeamĀ LeadĀ withĀ CboeĀ Global Indices (CGI).Ā Ā TheĀ CGIĀ team currentlyĀ researches, designs,Ā and implementsĀ new index strategiesĀ supporting bothĀ Cboe’sĀ branded indicesĀ andĀ client-owned indices.Ā Ā Manager of Index OperationsĀ coordinatesĀ the dailyĀ calculation,Ā maintenanceĀ and validation of CGI’s indicesĀ in the US, including client interaction, error handling, presenting toĀ index committees, and evaluating and building validation toolsĀ to ensure compliance with control framework.Ā Ā This roleĀ is primarily focused onĀ derivativesĀ and will additionally provide exposure toĀ equities.Ā

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Manage and expand team of index analystsĀ in multiple officesĀ 

  • CalculateĀ CGI’s US suite of indices, covering options,Ā as wellĀ andĀ iNAVs/IOPVsĀ 

  • SupportĀ Theoretical Options Pricing Service (TOPS) includingĀ process maintenance, validations, jobs aids,Ā priceĀ challengesĀ and clientĀ supportĀ 

  • Responsible for team runningĀ index validationsĀ and qualityĀ assuranceĀ checks, currently focused on scripting inĀ PythonĀ 

  • Participate in regular incident reviewĀ and internal postmortem, suggesting and implementing process improvementĀ 

  • Onboard newĀ indicesĀ from implementation team, includingĀ methodologyĀ evaluationĀ for operational feasibilityĀ andĀ appropriate validationsĀ 

  • Participate in index committee meetings toĀ set direction for indexĀ methodologyĀ enhancements, including suggesting andĀ assistingĀ withĀ market consultationsĀ 

  • HelpĀ establishĀ quality assurance for new calculation typesĀ 

  • HelpĀ establishĀ index calculation standards to enable repeat applicationĀ of calculation modulesĀ 

  • Participate in client meetings toĀ show robustness of CGI calculations,Ā Ā 

  • WorkĀ collaboratively with otherĀ CboeĀ departments on new index and benchmark launches,Ā leadingĀ theĀ post-launch supportĀ functionĀ 

  • Work onĀ enhancement initiatives to support robust and scalableĀ processesĀ in lineĀ with established control frameworkĀ 

The ideal candidate has:

  • 8+Ā years options, equity, financialĀ indexingĀ and/or financialĀ marketsĀ experience in a related capacity.Ā Ā Managerial experience (team ofĀ 2-6) preferred.Ā 
  • StrongĀ quantitative and programming skills; experience in Python,Ā R,Ā and SQL with preference toĀ PythonĀ 

  • Experience with written documentation of projectsĀ 

  • Strong background in index mathematics: writing, readingĀ methodologyĀ formulasĀ 

  • Ability to solve non-routine problemsĀ 

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skillsĀ 

  • MustĀ be self-motivated andĀ be able toĀ work independently as well as part of a teamĀ 

  • Strong focus on training and onboarding new employeesĀ

Education:Ā 

  • BachelorsĀ degree inĀ Engineering, Mathematics, ComputerĀ ScienceĀ or related fieldĀ requiredĀ Ā Ā Ā 
  • Advanced degree preferred.Ā

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $135,575-$175,450, with actual compensation determined by job‑related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location.
