The Non-Medical Case Manager will service as a Nutrition Specialist for South Side Help Center and be responsible for supporting the distribution of comprehensive food and nutrition services for people with HIV (PWH) enrolled in the Ryan White Program. Reporting to the Food and Nutrition Program Coordinator, this position will be responsible for supporting client intake, eligibility verification, and the timely scheduling and distribution of meals and grocery bags to eligible clients. The position maintains accurate documentation of client contacts, units of service, and other required program records, while supporting data collection and reporting activities to ensure compliance with Ryan White Program requirements and agency policies. During client interactions, the Nutrition Specialist verifies client identity, protects client confidentiality and dignity, and promptly communicates any concerns or unmet needs to the Food and Nutrition Program Manager or Nutritionist to ensure appropriate follow-up and continuity of care. They will assist with the preparation, packing and quality assurance of meals and food bags, ensuring all food items comply with program nutrition standards, client dietary restrictions, medical needs, and applicable food safety regulations. The position also supports food pantry operations by monitoring inventory levels, rotating stock, maintaining proper food storage practices, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of food preparation, refrigeration, and storage areas. Success in this role requires strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills, attention to detail, ad the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The Nutrition Specialist must demonstrate professionalism, cultural responsiveness, and a commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered services to people living with HIV. The position requires flexibility to work in both office and community settings and the physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and transport food and supplies while ensuring food quality, safety, and reliable service delivery.
