Westover Job Corps Center is seeking a Residential Advisor to help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive dormitory environment for students. This position serves as a mentor and role model, helping young adults develop personal responsibility, leadership, and independent living skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor students in the dormitory setting.
  • Maintain student accountability and ensure adherence to center policies.
  • Provide guidance, support, and behavior coaching to students.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and positive living environment.
  • Teach and reinforce leadership, life skills, and responsible decision-making.
  • Complete required documentation, reports, and shift logs.
  • Collaborate with counselors, dorm staff, and other team members to support student success.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Residential, youth development, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse and disadvantaged youth.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.

Schedule & Environment

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Work performed in a residential dormitory and campus setting.
