Job Description:

ABOUT:

Six bed MOSU that provides comprehensive nursing care for post-surgical patients, post cardiac catheterizations with post PCI, respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, AKI, unstable arrhythmias, are examples of types of patients.

EXP REQ:

Critical care nursing
Initiation/titration/management of vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics and sedation
Ventilator management
Hemodynamic monitoring
Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Sepsis management
Central line management
Arterial line management
Chest tube management
Blood administration

EQUIP:

Medication infusion pumps
Rapid Infuser
Bedside cardiac monitors
Mechanical ventilators
BiPAP/CPAP
High-flow nasal cannula
Bladder scanner

RATIO:

Critical 2:1
Step Down 4:1
Standard 6:1

MISC: Ability to float to Med/Surg, Tele, Step-Down, Observation floors
