ReviewĀ Tenant Scope of work with a Project ManagerĀ
Review a set of plans on a new ground up buildingĀ utilizingĀ a planĀ review checkĀ listĀ
Review components of a) Standard PECO lease, b) National Retailer lease for items that pertain to Construction as it relates to scope of work, timing, contingencies, etc.Ā
Departmental Interviews ā schedule 5 interviews with Acquisitions, Due Diligence, Finance, Accounting, Leasing, Legal and Property Management. Write a summary of each groupās role within the company and how each department interacts with Construction.Ā
Assemble existing conditions information on aĀ lease opportunitiesĀ with a Project ManagerĀ
Assist with Project Manager the procurement of multiple bids from GCās based on a Tenant/Landlord work letter.Ā
AssistĀ with updating a national database ofĀ GCāsĀ withĀ PMāsĀ to create a Construction Department database of preferredĀ GCāsĀ in markets PECO is present.Ā
Months 3 & 4:⯠Pre-ConstructionĀ
Assemble a Microsoft Schedule Project Schedule for a PECO Landlord work construction project.Ā
Evaluate Architectural/Mechanical/Electrical plans for conformance with the defined Landlord Scope of Work.Ā
Assess HVAC condition and how to budget based on age/condition of HVAC unitĀ
Work with PM/CM in assembling a complete set of bid documentsĀ
Prepare a bid summary from bids received and define bid discrepancies, majorĀ line itemĀ pricing differences, etc. Evaluate value engineering opportunities.Ā
Work with Project Manager on setting up an executed lease (opportunity) in Job Cost.Ā
Discuss Technical writing and presentations with Intern and how to effectively communicate with others ā specifically:Ā
- How to summarize technical details into aĀ high levelĀ summaryĀ
- How to organize and present ideas to internal stakeholdersĀ
- How to organize and present ideas to external stakeholdersĀ
Write a one-page summary of ālessons learnedā during the Internship and present to the Team on the last day of InternshipĀ

Strong communicationĀ and relationship-building skillsĀ
Results-oriented, withĀ demonstratedĀ experience of balancing multiple tasks and prioritiesĀ
Conceptual knowledge of the construction process including estimating,Ā purchasing, subcontractor negotiating, scheduling, design/construction technology, and plan reading is preferredāÆĀ
