Envision is hiring a full-time Mental Health Therapist to provide diagnostic assessments, individual psychotherapy, Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment, and group therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health diagnoses. This Ohio-licensed clinical role may also provide therapy to clients’ family members. What You’ll Do
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify client strengths, concerns, needs, diagnoses, and treatment goals.
- Provide individual psychotherapy and Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate therapeutic groups as needed.
- Collaborate with clients, care providers, Qualified Mental Health Specialists, treatment teams, community mental health providers, and other services to support continuity and quality of care.
- Help clients, care providers, and treatment teams understand and adjust to mental health diagnoses.
- Assess safety concerns, respond appropriately, and report suspected abuse or neglect to legally mandated authorities.
- Assess and support compliance with the Individual Service Plan.
- Maintain complete, timely case records and other required documentation.
- Meet established productivity standards. Full-time employees maintain an average productivity rate of 50%; fee-for-service expectations are agreed upon at hire based on the desired service level.
- Attend staff meetings, supervision, in-service training, and professional development activities.
- Maintain required agency training, continuing education, and active licensure.
- Help maintain an organized, safe, accessible, effective, and welcoming environment.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Mental Health Services.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to helping individuals with disabilities and their families experience the quality of life they choose

- Ability to work effectively with people across diverse age groups and demographic backgrounds
- Clinical knowledge and ability to provide mental health and psychosocial services
- Independent initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, and professional demeanor
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Education and Licensure
- Option 1: Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling or Social Work and a current Ohio license as an LPCC, PCC, LPC, PC, LSW, or LISW through the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board
- Option 2: Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology
- Option 3: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, current Ohio LSW license, and at least two years of experience providing mental health therapy
Additional Requirements
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illness is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with no more than five points on the driving record
- Insured, reliable vehicle available for on-the-job use
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Successful completion of required pre-employment drug screening
- Successful completion of BCII and/or FBI criminal records checks before hire and every five years thereafter, with no disqualifying plea or conviction under Ohio Administrative Code 5101:2-5-09
