GCBHS has openings for a licensed Social Worker (Ohio LSW or LISW) or Counselor (Ohio LPCC) to help children and families as a school-based therapist at St. Bernard Elementary School. The ideal candidate will have an Ohio LSW, LISW or LPCC and experience working with children and families in behavioral health treatment.

This is a great position for a LSW who wants to get experience and attain their independent license! We offer free license supervision hours and continuing education credits for a Counselors and Social Workers.

Join our multidisciplinary treatment organization as a member of School Based Services team. Through counseling, case management, and group services, our licensed therapists help students and families realize their potential and overcome challenges. Schools see better academic performance, and the community at large benefits from having healthier children and families.

The School Based Therapist role provides mental health therapy services to children and families in a school based setting. Connect with principals, teachers, students and parents to develop rapport and trust to grow caseload

The requirements for this job include:

MSW or MA-Counseling.
Ohio LSW, LPC, LISW, or LPCC.
Prior experience working with children and families through work experience and/or internships.
Be flexible to negotiate the politics of the school.
Must be available to counsel families after school hours.
