Job Details: Job Location: Rosenthal Way - Cincinnati, OH, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 4 Year Degree, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Travel Percentage: Negligible, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Supply Chain, Under the direction of the Director of Distribution & Logistics, responsible for the supervision of the Logisticsstaff. Ensures the implementation of Lean Management principles and philosophies that support the goal ofhunger relief.Full-time, exempt role in the Foodbank Division, Distribution DepartmentReports to the Group Leader, Distribution & LogisticsWork schedule: 8 am – 4 pmKey Responsibilities / DutiesSupervise Logistics staff and support continuous improvement of processes through systematicproblem solvingWork cooperatively with other departments to ensure the safe and equitable distribution of productsto member agenciesOversee regulatory maintenance related to agency vehicles at the Distribution CenterEnsure compliance with Feeding America, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, rules,regulations, and reporting requirementsSupervise efficient and effective routing, receiving, and shipment of productEnsure all incoming product is properly received and receipted, and all outgoing product is properlycounted, checked, loaded, and deliveredServe as primary contact for vehicle leasing and maintenance contractorMaintain DOT records in conjunction with Human Resources and ensure drivers and vehicles areDOT compliantEnsure proper maintenance and inspections are performed on all vehiclesStay current on DOT and other regulatory rules and policiesQualifications: Required Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree and/or documented experience in a distribution center, warehouse management,or logistics capacityUnderstanding and practical experience in the use of lean management principles and philosophiesExperience with truck routing systemsValid DOT certificationCDL BValid driver's license and automobile insuranceDemonstrated verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to accomplish goals within timeframes and complete reports by appropriate dates
