Position: Boat Charter Hostess / First Mate Hospitality (Per Diem)
Location: Clearwater / Tampa Bay Area, FL
Vessel: 24' Cabin Cruiser
Compensation: $25 Competitive hourly base + generous gratuities (tips paid day-of)
​We are seeking an energetic, polished, and outgoing Boat Charter Hostess to join our crew for private, boutique boat charters across the Clearwater and Tampa Bay waterways. In this role, you will be the face of our guest experience—ensuring every outing feels effortless, upscale, and fun.
​This position is ideal for someone who thrives in the Florida sun, loves being on the water, and has a natural passion for hospitality and guest service.
​Key Responsibilities
​Guest Hospitality & Relations: Greet charter guests with warm, high-end hospitality, assist with boarding, and provide attentive, anticipatory service throughout the trip.
​Food & Beverage Service: Prepare and stage light bites, charcuterie boards, and snacks; craft cocktails and pour beverages; provide smooth, tidy food and drink service underway and at anchor.
​Vessel Housekeeping & Maintenance: Perform pre-charter staging, mid-charter tidying (clearing plates, wiping surfaces, managing trash), and thorough post-charter turnaround cleaning.
​Deck & Anchor Support: Assist the captain with basic line handling during docking, fending off, and anchoring at sandbars or islands.
​Outdoor & Water Activities Assistance: Help guests transition safely into the water, hand out swim gear/floats, and maintain a safe, welcoming vibe on deck.
​Qualifications & Requirements
​Hospitality Background: Proven experience in bartending, food preparation/service, high-end guest relations, or vacation housekeeping.
​Boating Enthusiasm: Comfortable spending hours on the water in changing weather and sea conditions; zero tendency toward motion sickness.
​Physical Stamina & Agility: Strong physical fitness with the balance and mobility required to move safely around a 24' cabin cruiser underway, lift coolers/supplies (up to 30 lbs), and assist with deck gear.
​Presentation & Attire: Polished, professional presentation; comfortable wearing upscale resort/nautical swimwear or sun-protection charter attire tailored to water-based hospitality.
​Reliability: Per diem / on-call flexibility, particularly for weekends, holidays, and sunset charters across the Tampa Bay area.
​Safety Mindset: Basic first aid/CPR knowledge or strong swimming skills preferred.
