Lerner Tower 6 is a 30 bed Adult Surgical inpatient division providing care to orthopedic, neurological spine, surgery, and trauma patients. Orthopedics includes total joint replacement, fracture, spine and orthopedic trauma services with a component of subacute neurology and general trauma. We are proud of our recognition as a Center of Excellence and our DNV certification for spine patients. We were the first non-ICU at UH awarded the AACN Gold Beacon recognition for Excellence in Nursing Care. Position Requirements

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Dimensions are:

Education Requirements

• Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited program

License & Certification Requirements

• An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance. 
• Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
