Villagio Hospitality Group is growing! We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Guest Assistant to join our award-winning team at Trattoria Villagio. The Guests Assistant supports the dining experience by ensuring tables are clean, organized, and properly set, and by assisting servers with food delivery and clearing tables. This role is vital to maintaining a smooth flow of service and enhancing the guest experience. Ideal candidates are quick, attentive, and proactive, providing seamless assistance to the front-of-house team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promptly clear and rest tables between guest seatings
- Return dirty dishware and glassware to the dishwashing area in a timely manner
- Ensure tableware and glassware are restockedÂ
- Assist with delivering food orders to designated tablesÂ
- Maintain water stations throughout serviceÂ
- Proactively report maintenance or safety issues to management
- Ensure that the front of house and guest areas are well always maintained
- Assist with the co-ordination and delivery of dining, events and food & beverage service
- Perform any other duties as directed by Manager on Duty or other member of the management team
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and outgoing personality and an ability to interact with people at all levels
- Ability to take initiative and a practical approach to problem solving
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest service
- Courteous and pleasant attitude towards guests and colleagues
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and juggle competing priorities in a busy, fast paced and challenging environment with minimum supervision
- Positive and flexible approach to workÂ
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods
- Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs and moving quickly in a dynamic environment
