About the Role:
Blue Sky Mental Health Clinic in Silver Spring, MD is looking for a compassionate and organized Medical Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our clinic. Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional, and confidential manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Verify insurance eligibility and process patient intake paperwork
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, voicemails, and patient inquiries
- Collect co-pays, process payments, and manage billing documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in a medical front desk, receptionist, or healthcare administrative role
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR software and medical scheduling systems
- Knowledge of insurance verification and basic medical billing practices
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy clinical environment
- Sensitivity and professionalism when working with mental health patients
