Position Summary:Â
Marmon Fastener Company is seeking a hands-on, business-focused IT Systems Administrator to support and continuously improve our enterprise infrastructure across manufacturing, warehouse, and corporate environments. This role is responsible for the administration, security, availability, and performance of servers, networks, cloud platforms, end-user systems, and business-critical applications.Â
Key Responsibilities:Â
Infrastructure & Systems AdministrationÂ
Administer and maintain Windows server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, storage, and backup systemsÂ
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, print services, and identity managementÂ
Support Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and Entra IDÂ
Monitor system health, capacity, performance, and uptime across all environmentsÂ
Perform server patching, upgrades, lifecycle management, and system hardeningÂ
Network AdministrationÂ
Support LAN/WAN connectivity across manufacturing and office locationsÂ
Configure and maintain firewalls, switches, wireless infrastructure, VPN, and remote access solutionsÂ
Troubleshoot network performance issues impacting production or business operationsÂ
Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standards
Â
Cybersecurity & ComplianceÂ
Implement security best practices, vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, and MFA policiesÂ
Monitor logs, alerts, and security eventsÂ
Support cybersecurity audits, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planningÂ
Ensure systems comply with corporate security standards and industry best practicesÂ
Â
Manufacturing Systems SupportÂ
Support ERP, MES, barcode scanning, label printing, shop floor PCs, handheld devices, and industrial workstationsÂ
Partner with operations teams to minimize downtime related to technology issuesÂ
Support integrations between business applications, production equipment, and reporting platformsÂ
Â
End User SupportÂ
This is a hands-on roll. Provide Tier 1 / 2 support while looking at solutions to prevent break fix incidentsÂ
Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheralsÂ
Standardize endpoint deployment and software managementÂ
Create technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articlesÂ
Availability for weekly on-call rotations
Â
Project & Continuous ImprovementÂ
Lead infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, cloud initiatives, and automation effortsÂ
Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiencyÂ
Work with vendors, corporate IT resources, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutionsÂ
Â
Education and ExperienceÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experienceÂ
5+ years of systems administration experience in a mid-sized business or manufacturing environmentÂ
Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VMware/Hyper-V, backup systems, networking, and PowerShellÂ
Experience supporting ERP or manufacturing applicationsÂ
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skillsÂ
Experience in manufacturing or distribution environmentsÂ
Experience with Cisco Meraki, Unifi, Azure, Intune, SQL Server, and OT environmentsÂ
Industry certifications such as Microsoft, Security+, CCNA, or VCPÂ
Backup software experience with Veeam, Kaseya using 3-2-1 methodologyÂ
