American Electrician has proudly served the Colorado Springs community for over 30 years. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a highly motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team and help drive our success into the future.

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and/or commercial settings. This role includes troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring all work meets code requirements, and providing safe, reliable service to customers or job sites.

Responsibilities Include:

Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment
Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices such as meters and circuit testers
Install and troubleshoot lighting systems, outlets, switches, breakers, and panels
Perform routine inspections of electrical systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes

Requirements

2+ years of electrical service and repair experience
Valid Journeyman license
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components and installations
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Ability to follow safety protocols
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
Attention to detail
Neat and clean presentation
Great work ethic
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
