Job Summary:Â
The Machine Operator 2 position is responsible for performing intermediate machine operation activities within our semiconductor company. This position manages equipment operations, implements setup procedures, and maintains production standards for manufacturing processes. The role requires solid understanding of machine operation principles, technical skills, and attention to detail to effectively manage equipment operations with limited supervision.Â

Machine Operation (35%)Â
Manage manufacturing equipment operation and production processesÂ
Operate complex machinery according to detailed specificationsÂ
Monitor and control machine parameters and operational settingsÂ
Implement production throughput and efficiency improvementsÂ
Ensure adherence to established procedures and standardsÂ
Training other operators as neededÂ
Machine Setup (20%)Â
Manage machine setup and changeover proceduresÂ
Implement tooling installations and adjustmentsÂ
Develop setup verification and validation processesÂ
Create setup documentation and reference guidesÂ
Ensure proper setup parameters and configuration standardsÂ
Quality Management (15%)Â
Implement in-process quality control proceduresÂ
Identify quality deviations and product non-conformancesÂ
Verify product specifications and dimensional requirementsÂ
Develop quality documentation and defect reportingÂ
Ensure compliance with quality standards and proceduresÂ
Production Efficiency (10%)Â
Manage machine efficiency and performance metricsÂ
Implement minor equipment adjustments for optimizationÂ
Develop production rate improvements and cycle time reductionsÂ
Create efficiency tracking and documentationÂ
Ensure maximum equipment utilizationÂ
Cross-functional Collaboration (10%)Â
Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production planning teamsÂ

Good physical stamina and technical aptitudeÂ

Minimum Qualifications:Â
High school diploma or equivalent required; Vocational/Technical training preferredÂ
1 to 3 years of experience in machine operation, manufacturing, or related role
Experience with multiple equipment types and production processes
Demonstrated understanding of quality standards in a manufacturing environmentÂ
Technical understanding of equipment functionality, controls, and operational parametersÂ
Strong proficiency with measurement devices, gauges, and quality inspection toolsÂ
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in machine operations and quality verificationÂ
Strong understanding of workplace safety and equipment operation protocols
Basic computer skills for equipment interfaces and data entryÂ

A reasonable estimate of the pay for this position is $20.00 an hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
