Job Details: Level: Entry, Job Location: PTEC - Colorado Springs, CO, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $17.00 - $18.00Hourly, Satellite Instructional Assistant Full-time, hourly wage, 191 days per year Responsibilities Three important questions to ask: What is best for students? How can I make life easier for the classroom teacher and support the functions of the school? How can I support the administration/front office? The Satellite Instructional Assistants’ duties include, but are not limited to: A. Teaching and Assisting Supporting lesson preparations, grading, and tracking student data Substitute as needed in classrooms Monitor student behavior, effort, and performance B. Other Duties: Proctoring district and state assessments (will be trained in these areas) Provide support duties as assigned in school office, lunch room, carline, and/ or hallways Helping to support and hold students accountable for expectations Modeling and representing James Irwin Charter Schools in a positive way Adept at working with computers (Word, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint) Excellent organization skills Education and Experience: Completion of a high school diploma. Experience in customer service or education preferred. Abilities: Ability to learn, understand, apply, and communicate school protocols, procedures, and rules. Ability to maintain a positive and professional affect while interacting with staff and students. Ability to independently carry out oral and written directions. Use good judgement in recognizing the scope of authority as delegated. Communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
