Project Overview
Seekingexperts in Project Management of medium to complex projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple medium to complex IT projects simultaneously.
- Develop business requirements in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
- Create detailed project plans and manage projects through successful execution.
- Track project schedules, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and project activities.
- Identify, document, and manage project risks, issues, and risk triggers.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and meet quality expectations.
- Prepare and maintain project management documentation, reports, metrics, and project artifacts.
- Provide clear written and verbal project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal teams, management, external organizations, and third-party vendors.
- Understand business processes and project details beyond project schedule management.
- Manage multiple high-profile and high-priority projects at the same time.
- Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders with competing priorities and diverse interests.
- Use SharePoint, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project, Word, Access, and Excel for project management and documentation.
- Apply strong written, verbal, listening, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with Medicaid or healthcare claims system IT projects is preferred but not mandatory.
Requirements
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- 3+ years of project management experience within a healthcare insurance IT environment.
- A current PMI certification such as CAPM, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or another applicable PMI certification.
Preferred Skills:
- Medicaid or Healthcare Delivery Systems.
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
Additional Skills:
- Experience with project planning, including effort estimation for technical tasks and resource allocation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver presentations to executive management.
- Strong proficiency in English.
