Position Summary:
The Painter is responsible for performing interior and exterior painting for apartment homes, common areas, and buildings within a multi-family community. This role ensures units are market-ready and maintained to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming
- Paint interior walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and exterior surfaces as needed
- Match and mix paint colors to ensure consistency and quality finishes
- Repair drywall, including minor holes, cracks, and surface imperfections
- Complete unit turns within designated timelines to support leasing goals
- Maintain common areas, hallways, and amenity spaces
- Ensure proper use and storage of paints, tools, and equipment
- Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate with maintenance team and management regarding project status
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous painting experience, preferably in multi-family or residential settings
- Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials
- Basic drywall repair skills required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, climbing ladders, standing for extended periods)
