Production Team Member

Morgan Smith Industries, LLC is seeking dependable and motivated Production Team Members to join our team in Columbia, Kentucky. As a premier manufacturer of large-scale, premium-grade architectural millwork and complex custom fabrications for commercial, educational, and institutional projects, Morgan Smith is committed to delivering exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

We are looking for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and thrive in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Previous experience in manufacturing, woodworking, solid surface fabrication, construction, carpentry, assembly, warehouse operations, machine operation, or other skilled trades is a plus, but motivated individuals willing to learn are encouraged to apply.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in the manufacturing, assembly, and production of architectural millwork and custom fabricated products.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and effectively.
• Read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality requirements.
• Handle, move, and organize raw materials, components, and finished products.
• Perform assembly, sanding, material preparation, packaging, and other production-related tasks.
• Inspect work for quality and accuracy throughout the production process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing, construction, woodworking, carpentry, assembly, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train in multiple departments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout an entire shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely operate equipment and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
