WHAT TO EXPECT

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Columbia, MO plant, you will be an Sr. Engineer Technician.

 

The Sr. Engineering Technician supports material innovation and compliance initiatives within the Materials Science team and reports to the Laboratory Manager. This role collaborates closely with scientists, engineers, and laboratory teams, to coordinate and execute material processing, prototype development, and testing activities that support the development of next-generation power transmission and fluid power products.

Key responsibilities (to name a few):

  • Plan and execute prototype production activities in accordance with detailed engineering instructions
  • Complete laboratory work orders by following established material formulation and testing procedures
  • Generate accurate, consistent, and repeatable data to support departmental objectives and product development efforts
  • Compile, analyze, and present data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Maintain a working knowledge of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials to support safe and efficient operations

ABOUT YOU

  • Post-secondary education is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong change management, documentation, and data management skills
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management abilities, with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information and data to support effective decision-making
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with the capability to identify issues and implement practical solutions
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, high-quality documentation and reporting
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship
