Building Automation Account Executive

Comfort Systems USA Ohio is looking for an experienced Building Automation Account Executive to grow our commercial building automation and HVAC controls business throughout Columbus and Central Ohio.

This role is designed for a proven BAS sales professional who already understands the Central Ohio market, has established industry relationships, and knows how to independently turn those relationships and new opportunities into a strong, revenue-producing pipeline.

If you have successfully sold building automation systems, HVAC controls, DDC solutions, controls upgrades, retrofits, or BAS service agreements and enjoy owning the growth of your territory, we want to talk with you.

You'll have the support of experienced engineering, operations, and service teams while taking ownership of developing business and building long-term customer relationships.

What You'll Do

Develop new building automation and controls business throughout Columbus and Central Ohio.
Leverage your existing industry relationships and local market knowledge to identify and pursue opportunities.
Independently build and maintain a qualified, revenue-producing sales pipeline.
Develop relationships with building owners, facility managers, mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, and other decision-makers.
Identify opportunities for BAS projects, controls upgrades, retrofits, system integrations, energy optimization, and service agreements.
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and customer discovery through proposals, negotiation, and project award.
Conduct customer meetings and site visits to understand facility needs and recommend practical solutions.
Develop proposals, estimates, scopes of work, and presentations in collaboration with internal technical teams.
Grow existing accounts while consistently developing new business.
Maintain an organized pipeline, accurate sales forecasts, and CRM activity.

What We're Looking For

The strongest candidates will bring:

Proven sales experience in commercial building automation, HVAC controls, DDC systems, or related BAS solutions.
Established relationships and market knowledge in Columbus and Central Ohio.
A demonstrated ability to independently prospect, develop opportunities, and build a revenue-producing sales pipeline.
A track record of winning new business, growing accounts, and delivering measurable sales results.
Strong knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, integrations, upgrades, retrofits, and service solutions.
Experience selling directly to commercial customers and working with contractors, engineers, facility professionals, and other industry partners.
Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
The ability to manage a territory independently while collaborating effectively with engineering, estimating, operations, and service teams.
