Position Title: Business Systems Analyst
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the general direction of the CFO, the Business Systems Analyst performs intermediate-level technical work coordinating and assisting in the design, development, and implementation of business systems supporting core organizational functions and business processes for Authority departments using Yardi, and troubleshoots system technical issues and provides solutions. The Business Systems Analyst also serves as a lead in determining the need and requirements for business system projects, meets with stakeholders to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems, provides first-tier support for Yardi systems, and prepares and maintains a variety of files, records, and reports.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Yardi First-Line Support: Serve as the first line of support for the Yardi system; document and report Yardi system technical issues; and perform tasks and resolution work such as modifications, account creation, logon problems, folder deletion and retrieval, form use, and workflow assistance.
- Incident Triage & Troubleshooting: Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve software incidents and problems; support user testing of software updates and system changes; and debug reports and code by testing for and fixing errors.
- Reporting & Data Quality: Develop, prepare, and submit a variety of operational and management reports for business-unit end users and decision makers, including special reports, records, and statistical information; perform research and quality control to ensure the accuracy of data; and collect new data and refine existing data sources.
- Application Acquisition & Deployment: Assist in the acquisition and deployment of new or enhanced applications and additional functionality; serve as a project lead and coordinate with end users, managers, vendors, and other stakeholders during the analysis, requirement-definition, and development phases of new or enhanced systems and applications.
- Requirements Definition & Testing: Coordinate testing of modified and new software functionality; meet with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and system goals.
- Business Process & Systems Analysis: Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging them; analyze and document relevant business processes; and help ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Training & Documentation: Develop curriculum and train employees on the use of Authority applications; and prepare clear and concise program documentation, user procedures, and reports for work performed.
- Database Support: Provide first-tier support for database management functions, including creating and/or modifying Structured Query Language (SQL) queries and scripts; importing and exporting databases from production to development environments; monitoring servers for job alerts and taking corrective action as necessary; and performing software patching and keeping systems in compliance with applicable standards as needed or required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business or computer science; an equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.
- Experience: Three to five years of experience in Yardi business analysis and support, Yardi reports, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), writing SQL queries, relational databases, and client-server concepts.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of information system operating concepts, tools, utilities, and methods for standard software development, and of database design concepts, standards, and reporting; ability to code, organize, and plan application development, enhancement, and maintenance projects based on Authority specifications.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency using large administrative databases; Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; database software; and programming languages such as SQL.

PHYSICAL & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Transportation: Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record, and be insurable under the Authority's plan.
- Bonding: Ability to be covered under the Authority's fidelity bond.
- Background & Assessments: Must consent to and pass required assessments and a criminal records and driving records background check.
- Physical Demands: Work regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and repetitive motions; frequently requires standing and reaching with hands and arms; and occasionally requires walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, pushing or pulling, and lifting.
- Work Environment: Work is generally performed in a moderately noisy location (e.g., business office, light traffic) with no exposure to environmental conditions; requires standard vision, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, and clear vocal communication to convey detailed or important instructions accurately.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation: $62,000 - $91,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate; however, final pay is flexible and determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Paid Time Off (PTO)
- Vacation Leave: Accrual begins upon hire, with eligibility to use leave after six months. Accruals scale with tenure, up to 25 days per year.
- Sick Leave: Employees accrue 13 days of sick leave per year, usable after 90 days of service for personal or immediate family care.
- Holidays & Personal Time: Includes 9.5 paid holidays, one floating personal day, and an additional 20 hours of personal time granted every calendar year, usable during the 6-month probationary period.
