Role OverviewĀ
The Director / Senior Director of Concept Design will define and evolve the creative and trend vision that fuels Hollisterās design strategy. This role exists to inspireĀ and informĀ product design by translating cultural insight, global trends, and brand DNA into clear creative direction forĀ print,Ā patternĀ and apparel teams.Ā
As a senior creative partner, this roleĀ helps designers stay ahead ofĀ teenĀ culture shaping seasonal concepts, longĀ range trend narratives, and creative guardrails that inform silhouettes, fabrications, color, graphics, and overall product expression. The ideal candidate is highly creative, culturally fluent, andĀ forward thinking, with a proven ability to influence product teams without owningĀ day to dayĀ design execution.Ā
What Will You Be Doing?Ā
- Lead the global trend and concept vision for Hollister apparel,Ā print and pattern,Ā ensuring the brandĀ remainsĀ forward, culturally relevant, and differentiatedĀ
- DevelopĀ and presentĀ seasonalĀ creativeĀ directionĀ that guidesĀ apparel design across categories, genders, and regionsĀ
- IdentifyĀ emerging and macro trends in fashion, youth culture, music, art, social platforms, and lifestyle,Ā translating into actionable insights for design teamsĀ
- Partner closely with Apparel Design leaders to inspire newness while maintaining brand consistency and point of viewĀ
- Create and deliver compelling concept materials (trend decks, mood boards, narratives, visual storytelling) that inform design directionĀ
- Help designers interpret trends through a Hollister lens balancing aspiration, accessibility, and commercial relevanceĀ
- Influence color, material, silhouette, graphic, and styling direction through conceptĀ leadership, not direct design ownershipĀ
- Gain inspiration throughĀ deepĀ customer immersion,Ā spending time in the environments, communities, and cultural moments that influence how our customer dresses and expresses themselves, and translate findings into clear trend insights & recaps for designĀ
- Collaborate with Visual partners as needed to ensure product concepts translate clearly at point of presentationĀ

What Do You Need To Bring?āÆĀ
- Bachelorās degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related creative field (or equivalent experience)Ā
- 10ā15+ years of experience in trend forecasting, concept development, or creative leadership within apparel or fashion brandsĀ
- Deep understanding of global youth culture and fashion trends, with a strong instinct for whatās nextĀ
- Strong visual storytelling skills, with the ability to turn cultural insight into clear, actionable creative directionĀ
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and earlyāstage ideation, where trends are still formingĀ
- Executiveālevel communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadershipĀ
- A clear, confident creative point of view grounded in brand and consumer understandingĀ
- Ability to meet deadlines in fast paced retail environmentĀ
