About the Role
AGE is looking for a strategic leader to oversee the Division for Community Living (DCL). The DCL Chief has responsibility for the management of statewide home-and community-based services (HCBS) waiver programs that support Ohioans covered by Medicaid. This talented leader must be knowledgeable in aging and/or healthcare policy, experienced in developing, evaluating, and monitoring large-scale programs, and managing daily operations.  

The job duties of this position include but are not limited to: 

  • Supervising a team of high-performing professionals and working with direct reports on performance management activities;
  • Overseeing a portfolio of Medicaid–funded programs and waivers that support older Ohioans and their caregivers;
  • Leading the development and execution of a strategy that advances long-term services and supports; 
  • Developing and implementing policy and procedural improvements based on data-driven insights;
  • Driving the creation and adoption of clinical quality improvement initiatives;
  • Providing oversight of the AGE-certified provider network;
  • Advising the Chief Program Officer on emerging trends in long term care practices and policy.

  • Demonstrated impact in priority areas and delivery on departmental demands.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in public administration, social work, nursing, gerontology, or another human services field with progressive leadership in a similar role.
  • Effective in public speaking, writing impactful correspondence, and maintaining relationships across different teams, internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of long-term services and supports, Medicaid, Medicare, and Older Americans Act programs a plus.
