Hospice Aide – Personal Care Specialist

Help bring comfort, dignity, and compassionate support to patients and families.

Ohio’s Hospice is looking for a caring and dependable Personal Care Specialist to provide hands-on support to patients receiving hospice services. In this role, you’ll work closely with patients, families, and members of the hospice care team to help patients remain comfortable and maintain their dignity throughout their care journey.

This is a field-based position, with visits taking place in patients’ homes and care facilities across the Columbus service area.

Position Details

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Weekend Coverage: Rotating weekend assignment, approximately once every six weeks
Holidays: Participation in a rotating holiday schedule
Service Area: Marysville, Mt. Gilead, and Columbus, Ohio

Because this position serves patients throughout the region, reliable transportation and a valid Ohio driver’s license are required.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) credential preferred; qualified candidates may receive training
  • CHPNA certification is a plus. Ohio’s Hospice encourages and supports eligible employees who want to pursue hospice and palliative care certification.
  • Comfortable using computers and electronic medical record systems to document patient care accurately
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license, good driving history, and current automobile insurance
  • Ability to successfully complete required background and 10-panel drug screening
