At Path Robotics, we’re building the future of embodied intelligence. Our AI-driven systems enable robots to adapt, learn, and perform in the real world closing the skilled labor gap and transforming industries. We go beyond traditional methods, combining perception, reasoning, and control to deliver field-ready AI that is risk-aware, reliable, and continuously improving through real-world use.

Big, hard problems are our everyday work, and our team of intelligent, humble, and driven people make the impossible possible together.

We are seeking an organized, hands-on Preventative Maintenance Lead Tech to own the health and reliability of our fleet of robotic welding systems. Sitting at the center of our fleet maintenance operations, you will build and manage the preventative maintenance (PM) schedule, ensure a 90%+ completion rate, train new Fleet Techs, and serve as the critical link between the field and Engineering. You will convert real-world floor feedback into Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) that directly improve system robustness and long-term performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, own, and distribute the preventative maintenance schedule across the fleet, assigning tasks to Fleet Techs to maintain a 90%+ PM completion rate

  • Perform hands-on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repairs on mechanical and electrical components of robotic welding equipment

  • Teach, onboard, and mentor new Fleet Techs on standardized PM procedures and best practices

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the field and Engineering by submitting well-supported Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and partnering on hardware improvements

  • Record, analyze, and track PM maintenance data to identify trends, mitigate cell risks, and inform engineering-driven issue resolution

  • Communicate PM status, schedule changes, and technical risks clearly to fleet leadership, technicians, and engineering stakeholders

  • Collaborate with engineering to continuously refine, update, and improve PM procedures and documentation

Who You Are

  • Hands-On Technical Expertise: Mechanically and electrically inclined, with experience maintaining or repairing industrial, robotic, or automation equipment

  • Organized Program Owner: Strong organizational skills with the ability to build, track, and prioritize recurring schedules across multiple sites and technicians

  • Cross-Functional Communicator: Clear and confident communicator skilled at translating technical floor feedback between field techs and engineering teams

  • Technical Background: Technical training, Trade School certification, Associate degree in Engineering Tech, or equivalent practical industry experience

  • Data-Driven Problem Solver: Comfortable reading maintenance data and utilizing trend analysis to drive continuous operational improvements

  • Mentor Mindset: Proven experience or strong interest in training, onboarding, and supporting junior technicians

  • Field-Ready: Detail-oriented, self-directed, and willing to travel to customer sites as needed to support PM schedules and fleet requirements

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Daily free lunch to keep you fueled and connected with the team

  • Flexible PTO so you can take the time you need, when you need it

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • 6 weeks fully paid parental leave, plus an additional 6–8 weeks for birthing parents (12–14 weeks total)

  • 401(k) retirement plan through Empower

  • Generous employee referral bonuses—help us grow our team!
