RN/LPN Extended Hours

Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dependable RNs/LPNs to provide high-quality hospice care during extended weekend hours. This role is ideal for a nurse who is committed to supporting patients and families through the end-of-life journey and who understands the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care.

Schedule & Service Area

  • Part-time weekend position
  • Saturdays and Sundays
  • 8:00 AM–PM
  • Driving position serving patients throughout Columbus and Newark
  • Must be comfortable driving during daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and members of the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Deliver care in accordance with professional nursing standards and hospice best practices.
  • Accurately document patient care, services provided, and clinical information.
  • Promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients and their families.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Ohio RN or LPN license in good standing with no current board actions.
  • BSN preferred for RN candidates.
  • Two years of acute-care nursing experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Hospice and Palliative Care certification (CHPN) preferred. Certification support is available to eligible Ohio's Hospice employees.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to complete electronic clinical documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to maintain the state's minimum required automobile insurance coverage.
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.
  • Ability to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screening.
