Organizes and maintains learning centers within the classroom. Maintains order by using positive approaches to behavior management. Recruits volunteers and solicits in-kind contributions. Attends meetings, trainings and workshop as required. Maintains cleanliness of classrooms and adjoining restrooms. Serves as an advocate for the Head Start Program, families and children. Performs other duties as assigned. QualificationsMinimum Requirements: High School Diploma and/or GED and At least one year experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting Preferred Qualifications: Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Implements daily lesson plans and daily schedules. Performs other duties as assigned.   CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATION: Must have current driver’s license and access to use of automobile with current insurance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
