Job Title: Cargo Container Loader / Unloader

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Cargo Container Loader / Unloader to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for the manual loading and unloading of freight, products, and materials from cargo containers in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This is a full-time position requiring consistent physical labor and adherence to safety procedures. As business needs require, employees may also be assigned to assist with other warehouse-related duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manually load and unload cargo containers, trailers, and trucks.
• Sort, stage, stack, and organize products according to customer and operational requirements.
• Inspect freight for visible damage and report discrepancies or concerns.
• Ensure accurate handling of products to prevent damage during loading and unloading operations.
• Maintain work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and warehouse standards.
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and operational goals.
• Assist with palletizing, shrink-wrapping, labeling, and staging freight.
• Use hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other approved equipment as needed.
• Support shipping, receiving, inventory, and general warehouse operations as assigned.
• Perform other warehouse duties and operational tasks as required by business needs.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, freight handling, or container unloading experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, squat, twist, and reach throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in varying warehouse temperatures.
• Ability to safely handle manually loaded freight throughout the workday.

Work Environment

• Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels.
• Fast-paced setting requiring consistent physical activity and teamwork.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business demands.

Additional Information

This is a full-time cargo loading and unloading position. While the primary responsibility is the manual loading and unloading of containers, employees may be assigned to assist with other warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, inventory, housekeeping, and general warehouse support, as operational needs require.
